The short version
Yudemon is a tool for breathing practice and for studying your own physiology. It is not a medical device and it does not give medical advice. You own your data. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel any time. We do our best to keep the service running and your data safe, but we provide it as is and our liability is limited. If you break these terms we can close your account. Wyoming law applies, and you keep whatever rights your local consumer law gives you.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms are an agreement between you and Yudemon LLC, 1021 E Lincolnway, 5597, Cheyenne, WY 82001, USA ("Yudemon", "we", "us").
They cover everything we make and run: the Yudemon HRV mobile app, the web dashboard at app.yudemon.com, ApexFlow (including the ApexFlow desktop app), Yudemon Coach, and the website at yudemon.com. Together, "the service".
By creating an account, subscribing, or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
How we handle your data is covered separately in our Privacy Policy. It is part of the deal too.
2. Not medical advice
Yudemon is a wellness and training tool. It is not a medical device, it does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition, and nothing in the service is medical advice. Heart rate and heart rate variability numbers shown in the service are for your own practice and curiosity.
If you have a heart condition, a respiratory condition, are pregnant, or have any other health concern, talk to a doctor before using breathing exercises. If you feel unwell during a session, stop. In an emergency, contact emergency services, not us.
Any research findings we publish describe groups of people in aggregate. They are not a promise about what the practice will do for you.
3. Your account
- You need to be at least 13 years old to create an account, or older if the law where you live requires it. If you are under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission.
- One account per person. Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
- You can use the mobile app without an account. In that case your practice data stays on your device, and sections 3 to 5 about accounts and cloud data don't apply until you create one.
- You can delete your account at any time from the account page on the web dashboard. Deleting your account deletes your cloud data as described in the Privacy Policy. It does not cancel a subscription bought through an app store, so cancel that separately (section 6).
4. Your data and your content
You own your data. Your sessions, recordings, heart rate data, tags, notes, racing telemetry, and anything else you put into the service remain yours.
To run the service, we need your permission to store, process, back up, and display that data for you, and to share it with the service providers who operate the service on our behalf. You give us that permission for as long as you use the service, and it ends when you delete the data or your account.
Heartwork and other things you choose to share. If you create a public share link (for example for a Heartwork artwork), anyone with the link can see it. You give us permission to display it publicly until you delete it.
Uploads. Only upload recordings and telemetry that are yours or that you have the right to use.
Research. We analyse de-identified data in aggregate to improve the service and to study how breathing practice works. You can opt out in your account settings. The details, and the promise never to publish individual data, are in the Privacy Policy.
5. Free features, Pro, ApexFlow Pro, and Coach
Parts of the service are free. Other parts need a paid subscription:
- Yudemon Pro unlocks the full Journey, extra soundscapes, and advanced analytics in the app and on the web dashboard.
- ApexFlow Pro unlocks full session history and analytics in ApexFlow. It includes Yudemon Pro.
- Yudemon Coach lets a coach or practitioner view the data of clients who have chosen to share it with them, for up to the number of clients stated at purchase. It includes Yudemon Pro.
What each plan includes, and what is free, is described in the service at the time you buy. We may change what is included in a plan over time. If we remove something significant from a plan you are paying for, we will tell you first.
6. Subscriptions, payments, cancellation, and refunds
Where you buy. You can subscribe through the Apple App Store, Google Play, or directly on our website. Where you buy determines who bills you and how you cancel.
Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly) at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time. After cancelling you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
How to cancel.
- Bought on iOS: through your Apple ID subscription settings.
- Bought on Android: through Google Play.
- Bought on our website: from the account page at app.yudemon.com.
Refunds.
- Purchases through Apple or Google are refunded under Apple's or Google's own policies. Please ask them directly, as we can't process those refunds ourselves.
- Purchases on our website: if you live in the EU, the UK, or another place with a legal right to withdraw from an online purchase, you have 14 days from purchase to cancel and receive a full refund. By choosing to start using paid features straight away, you agree that this right ends once you have started using them. Outside that, if something is genuinely wrong, contact us and we will look at it fairly.
Price changes. If we change the price of a plan, the new price applies to new subscribers immediately and to existing subscribers only from their next renewal after we have notified them, with at least 30 days' notice, or as the app store's rules require.
Taxes. Prices may include or exclude tax depending on where you live, as shown at checkout.
Donations made on our website are gifts and are not refundable.
7. Coaches and clients
If you use Yudemon Coach, you may only view the data of clients who have shared it with you through the service, and only while that sharing is active. A client can revoke sharing at any time.
As a coach you agree to keep client data confidential, to use it only for working with that client, and not to copy it out of the service beyond what you need for that work. You are responsible for meeting whatever professional, ethical, and legal obligations apply to you and your clients, for example rules on handling health information in your country or profession. Yudemon is not a medical or clinical records system.
8. The ApexFlow desktop app
The ApexFlow desktop app is a small Windows program that reads heart rate data from your sensor and telemetry files from your racing simulator and uploads them to your account. It is provided as is. It is currently not code-signed, which means Windows may warn you before it runs. Install it only if you are comfortable with that. Use it only with games and data you have the right to use.
9. What you may not do
Please don't:
- use the service in a way that breaks the law or harms other people;
- try to access other people's accounts or data;
- scrape, copy, or bulk-download parts of the service you don't have permission for;
- reverse-engineer, tamper with, or interfere with the service or its security;
- resell the service or use it to build a competing product;
- upload malware or content you have no right to upload.
We can suspend or close accounts that do these things. If we do, we will tell you why unless the law prevents it or the abuse is severe. Your subscription will be refunded for the unused period unless the closure is due to your breach of these terms.
10. Our content
The software, design, text, soundscapes, and other material that make up the service belong to Yudemon LLC or its licensors. You may use them as part of using the service. You may not copy or reuse them elsewhere without our permission. Our published research and blog posts are free to read and cite with attribution.
11. Changes and availability
We are a small company and we improve the service continuously. We may change, add, or remove features. We aim to keep the service available but we can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may need to take it down for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.
If we ever decide to shut down the service, we will give you at least 60 days' notice and a way to export your data.
12. Liability
The service is provided as is and as available. We make no promises beyond what these terms say.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Yudemon LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, and our total liability to you for anything arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, and nothing takes away rights that consumer law in your country gives you and that can't be waived.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA. If you are a consumer in the EU, the UK, or elsewhere with mandatory consumer protections, you also keep those protections and may bring a claim in your local courts.
If you have a problem, please talk to us first. Most things can be sorted out by email.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms. Previous versions are available on request.
